Krystal Nowak
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Student Intern
Krystal is a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Liberty University. She is entering the counseling field because she is passionate about supporting children, teens, adults and families through life’s challenges. With a background as a music educator and homeschool mom to neurodivergent children, she uniquely combines her expertise in education and the creative arts with evidence-based counseling techniques to create personalized and meaningful sessions. Her approach emphasizes a holistic connection of body, mind, and spirit, integrating psychology and faith to foster healing and growth. Krystal believes in providing a safe space where clients can experience grace, belonging, and encouragement as they take steps toward positive change that brings peace and confidence.
In her free time, Krystal enjoys reading, exercising, music concerts, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her goldendoodle. She also enjoys volunteering at her church and leading Bible studies for people of all ages.
Her professional goals include becoming certified as a play therapist and earning certification in several modalities including EMDR, IFS, and CBT.
