We all have our struggles that prevent us from being the best version of ourselves for our family, our friends, and for our personal freedom. As a former elementary, middle, and high school teacher, along with my years in ministry, I recognize that most of the time we are aware of what those struggles are, but feel powerless to change. Counseling allows for conversations that encourage and scaffold that change.

 

I believe change begins with forgiveness. We have to learn to forgive others and we have to learn to forgive ourselves. Forgiveness creates hope and hope creates change. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families for many years in many different capacities that provide me with a perspective rooted in objectivity and sincerity.

 

I believe all hurts can heal and healing produces a healthy existence where self-awareness becomes the greatest tool toward behavior modification and life change. I want to sit with clients in their mess, so they realize they are not alone, not judged, and not as bad off as they think.
